I read a novel, "Love Walked In"... not great literature, but I left the novel feeling refreshed, and even thinking I had learned something about being an adult, something that never happens to me reading science fiction. Next on the list: "The Help", which my son has been trying to get all of us to read for ages.

February Books

'dreamland' about sleep. 'mockingjay', sharper about war and peace than i expected. finally getting somewhere in 'middlemarch'. re-reading 'three poems' by john ashbery - really that counts as escapist reading, it is like falling asleep while reading and having a dream about a book. listening to rollins 'the idolatry of god' on cd.re-reading girard's 'battling to the end' to see if i like it better this time.
